The main distinction now between affiliate and influencer marketing is simply the channel itself and the way the influencer is paid. Affiliate marketing sees affiliates paid based on web traffic performance (CPA) while influencer marketing sees influencers often paid flat fees upfront in return for social traffic performance. If I were to recommend one tips above others it would be this one. For this reason, if you see a good story or idea on Twitter, retweet it (this copies the tweet into your own feed, meaning your followers can see it). On Facebook or Instagram, either share a post or draw attention to it, if you think being associated with the thought boosts your own brand. By giving exposure to things you like, you might just win an ally in the person who originally posted the content (assuming you give him or her the credit they deserve when linking to it). This might mean they do the same thing in return in the future. This will further grow your following.
The key, if you want to use Twitter for marketing, is to be as concise as possible. This doesn’t mean using a lot of ‘internet speak’ and acronyms, it means getting straight to the point when you post an update. There is no set rule for how many tweets you should send and how many should feature an affiliate link. When you post a link to Twitter you expect people to click on it but doing this all day, every day will only put people off.

Like titles, one of the first images we see for your videos are thumbnails. Creating a good thumbnail is a delicate skill- you want to try and make the thumbnail stand out from the crowd but you don't want it to appear amateurish. Different niches have different standards for thumbnails. Gaming thumbnails will usually be very bright, big bubbly text and attempt to give off an "awe" factor. But informational videos will usually have simple thumbnails with elegant text so that they appear professional.
On a monthly basis, I’ve had success devoting an hour or two to a couple of activities. First, I send out a monthly newsletter to my affiliates (you can typically do this within your affiliate app). In the email, I let them know about anything new that’s cooking – and encourage everyone to log into their affiliate dashboard so that he or she can share the news.
I find this post extremely helpful. I have found that most affiliate marketers use the marketing tactics that they are taught in the program to which they belong. Besides your images, keywords are the other major make or break factor for your pins. Spend some time to identify 2-3 relevant keywords that people would use to search for the problem you’re solving. Focus on just one target keyword phrase that you absolutely want to rank for. Then add one or two other related keywords. To figure out what keywords to choose, put yourself in the shoes of your target audience. What would they search in order to find a solution to the problem your affiliate product solves?

Not too hard, right? Aside from the equipment you need, which at the beginning will be pretty minimal anyway, you’re not going to need to invest any money. It will only take a little bit of time to make great videos and start growing your following. Heck, if you’re super shy and don’t want your face on camera, you can just use a PowerPoint presentation and narrate a presentation for your audience. The only one stopping you from promoting affiliate products on YouTube is YOU!
Tweetdeck is useful if you have more than one Twitter account, and also features a scheduling feature (albeit it's a bit more fiddly than those of Buffer and Hootsuite). You can easily view your timeline, notifications and direct messages for all accounts side-by-side, in an arrangement that's far better than logging into or out of personal and work accounts all the time.
Make sure you actually put yourself out there and interact with the people you are following. You don’t have to comment on every post they make (that would be a bit stalkerish), but when you see something they posted is interesting or helpful, let them know! You can even re-tweet it or give them a special mention on your Twitter feed. Just be genuine. If someone isn’t providing helpful and useful information, remove them from your list and follow someone else (remember, people will do the same to you). Only follow those who are truly helpful. If they send you a direct message or respond to a comment, reply back! Forming a relationship like this can literally turn into money later, so get out there and network with the people you are following. Don’t just give them sales pitches for your website, product, or service – that will come later. For the most part, just interact and have fun. As a direct and indirect result of your friendliness, your own following will continue to grow.
With all of my blog posts, I have the consistently scheduled to share on social media and on Pinterest. This keeps the content in front of my audience. I use the social media scheduling tools Post Planner and Tailwind for this. Many affiliate programs also have great affiliate managers that will send out information with special promotions that you can share. If there isn’t a big sale or promotion going on, I will still try to feature certain high-converting posts on Pinterest, to my email list, etc.
