If I were to recommend one tips above others it would be this one. I think it would be much more effective and less intrusive with the culture on Twitter to tweet a link to a post you’ve written on your blog that includes an affiliate link – than to tweet the affiliate link directly. Write up a review of the product on your blog, give a balanced review, share why the product is relevant to your readers, tell them who would benefit most from it etc. And THEN tweet a link to the review. The problem with Twitter is that you’ve got 140 or so characters and to really do the product you’re promoting service and to give your readers a well balanced review you need more than that.
People love to buy…we love to consume great content. However, we have to be warmed up before we do it. On social networks, it’s the relationships that sell, not the message. It’s really up to you, though. You can spam people and make a quick buck (maybe), or you can build credibility and build a successful business. In my opinion, taking the latter route is much more efficient.

He also has a regular stream of guest bloggers, and his entire operation is a textbook case study in how to do affiliate marketing right. He’s also, of course, really strong on social media, which can be a little tricky for affiliate marketers sometimes.
I recommend that you start with affiliate marketing first in order to identify the vertical/product that you want to pursue. You will want to use native advertising as it is the best and most efficient way to drive traffic to your landing pages. There are many native advertising networks each with their own strengths, though I recommend finding a platform which allows you to aggregate your media buy under one account. These aggregator platforms also offer CPA optimization tools and also offer much better personal support.
So instead of paying all this overhead up-front, you tell your mom who has a weekly book club that if she mentions your lemonade to her friends and sells a cup, you’ll give her 5 cents for each 25 cents you earn. This way, there is less risk (since there are less up-front costs), and you only pay out the commission if and when your mom actually sells a cup.
So you should be sharing company updates, blog posts, announcements, launches, etc. This also means you should be sharing the least amount of promotional affiliate links on Facebook versus your other social media platforms. This is where rule number one really comes into play. If you’re sharing affiliate links on your Facebook Page, make sure they’re few and far between.
Once you start getting a bit of traction and you're spending many hours a week doing this, that's when I'd recommend to start building affiliate links into your videos. It's the same case as making a new website- there's no point in adding ads to your page when you don't have any page views. Work on content first, then once you have a decent traffic stream, then start to work on monetization.

You can choose a specific tweet to promote that perhaps has your affiliate link in there or perhaps it doesn’t and you simply want more relevant followers before you begin to send your affiliate link out. This does cost money but you can select your budget and even small budgets can have a fantastic ROI by the amount of people that see your tweet, interact with it, follow you and perhaps even go on to purchase one of your affiliate products.

Build Links. One of the most valuable things you can get from your Twitter activity may be a link to your site(s). There’s obviously no money exchanged with a link, but there are some clear indirect benefits; links to your content will expose new audiences to your site, and may help you move up the search rankings as well. If done correctly, Twitter can be a great tool for highlighting the content you’ve published on the Web–and getting other users to send links to it. To build on that last point about commissions in the previous section of this post, it’s important to offer generous commission rates, especially if you’re just starting out. For example, proven top fashion sites offer commissions of up to 10%, and some early-stage stores would benefit from offering even more. When it comes to affiliate marketing for beginners, providing great monetary incentives is a key way to build trust and scale up your advertising efforts by scoring great affiliates.

That’s how she can afford to travel full-time.
Murphy also says, "Twitter demographics offer a wider and more conversation-based audience when compared to Instagram, blogs and so on." In most cases, if you're a member of Online Affiliate World, you'll have your own website - but what you write on there is only part of a wider content marketing strategy. If you want new users, and you want them to click on your affiliate offers, you need to attract them there.
