Social media has forever changed the advertising landscape. On platforms such as Facebook and Instagram alone, combined ad revenue totals well over $13 billion. Instagram reports over 700 million monthly active users, 400 million daily users, and is estimated to be a ten billion dollar industry by 2020, thus making it the most powerful social media platform with the most significant potential for affecting the affiliate marketing industry. The main goals of an affiliate marketer is to direct traffic to your site in order to, ultimately, convince web visitors to buy the product(s) being promoted. When drilling down on the biggest market of potential customers that you as an affiliate marketer can reach, Instagram and Facebook are the first places to look when crafting strategies through paid advertising on social media platforms.
As a rule, you shouldn’t post more than three times a day so that doesn’t leave you that many opportunities to post your affiliate links. In general, you should only invest time and efforts in Facebook marketing If you already have an audience, which trusts you and mostly uses Facebook. Otherwise treat it as a platform for sharing and promoting your content and driving more traffic to your website (where you can put as many affiliate links as you want, just don’t go too crazy).
Create threads and Facebook groups, hang out on forums and engage in relevant discussions. Don’t forget to respond to comments and tweets, involve your community in a conversation. And don’t be shy to use this repost/retweet button when you see someone else’s post that you like. All of this will make you visible to more people and will bring you more followers.

In the past, bloggers could only promote affiliate products via Pinterest indirectly by linking to a blog post that contained affiliate links. But now, if you are a blogger who has already joined affiliate programs for your favorite retailers in your niche, you can now share your affiliate links directly on Pinterest. That means that instead of creating a post to drive readers to, you can now pin and image of a product you love with your affiliate link on Pinterest. You can see an example of one of my “affiliate pins” below.
Next, you need to make sure affiliate marketing makes sense for your own products in terms of profit margins. If you’re selling products with a very low profit margin then giving away part of the profit as commission to your affiliates, you might want to think twice. If you find yourself in this situation, you may want to consider increasing the price of your products to include the affiliate’s commission.
Affiliates may only post affiliate links on social media feeds they operate in line with their website URL, such as Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter. Affiliate links are prohibited on some social sharing sites, such as Pinterest and Tumblr. When posting content outside of Etsy, it is the Affiliate’s responsibility to follow each site’s policies on affiliate link
Try and go through all the different options for products or services available through different marketing programs. Study them well and figure out which ones are best for the end users.  Next, try and put attractive logos or change the ad patterns and use different graphics and texts to see which are the most expensive. Working on all this might take some time but you can figure out the best way.
There are many ways to make money with your videos and one popular way is to make money is to combine YouTube videos and affiliate links. If you have an active channel on YouTube are building subscribers, and like to upload regular videos about anything, you can turn your video views into constant income for you. Many people opt to use the YouTube ads program to make money out of their videos. This is the most standard money making program on YouTube but it may not provide much of an income in the long run. For hundreds of views on your videos, you might only make a few cents out of your YouTube ads.

Enthusiasm. You don’t need to be bubbly and happy throughout your video — you should be yourself. But you should not speak in one tone and completely deadpan. Try to get people excited about whatever it is you’re video is about. Think of the things YOU like to see in YouTube videos and then try to do that the best you can. Remember, you will never please everyone, but you don’t have to.
We’ve seen many YouTubers (including very popular ones) who have links to their websites and Facebook pages in the description but don’t include a link to the product(s) they discuss. If you have content on your site, your social channels and your YouTube channel that is complemented by certain affiliate links, include those links in all of those places.

The social media landscape is volatile and changes quickly. Just look at the scattered wreckage of Myspace or Friendster. Some commentators were even sounding the death knell for Facebook in the last few years. But as social networks have matured, they have established their individual spaces in the marketplace. Determining which networks to target and how to target them deserves consideration. Which channels have the highest potential for online sales? Who is actually using these networks?

However, you don't want to get caught up solely on what an offer pays because how well it converts is just as important. For example, if you have an offer that pays $9, but if it converts at 2X or more of a $20 offer, then it will perform about the same and possibly better. At the same time, if you have an offer that pays $90 and it converts poorly, it may not even be worth promoting.
And that means affiliate marketing also conveys more trust in your brand. When your partners are marketing you to their friends & family, it confers the trust between them to your brand as well. This is why working with influencers gives you greater social clout in your niche, which translates to higher loyalty and trust in your company. And then… more affiliate partners as your customers turn into reps!
Before we can adequately explain how to start affiliate marketing, however, let’s first examine the concept in more detail. What is affiliate marketing? Affiliate marketing involves partnering up with a more established ecommerce entrepreneur in your niche and asking them to promote your products to his or her audience. In return, you’d give the affiliate a percentage of revenue from each sale he or she generates. Affiliate marketing can be a great channel for first time ecommerce entrepreneurs because it’s one of the only marketing channels where you can get a 100% return on investment, every time.
