On Facebook and Instagram, taking part in a conversation is generally done in a more indirect way, but on Facebook you can share links and posts and make a point about what you have heard or read, while on Instagram you can write about the reason you are posting on a topic, and put another side of the story onto a public forum that welcomes different viewpoints.

They use all the main social media networks, but their Instagram practice is a great example. With beautiful travel pictures from around the world, you only need to spend 5 minutes on their profile before you want to go to their site and search for a cheap trip abroad. Not only does their feed look pretty, it’s very effective at getting you to click right through to their website once you see what you’re missing.
Multiple Twitter Identities.  We have noticed that affiliates using Twitter often maintain multiple Twitter identities.  Based on data pulled for the second week in November 2011, 75% of the affiliates found on Twitter maintain more than one Twitter alias. They do this for several reasons:  to re-tweet their own posts under different user names in order to drive up a tweet’s popularity; to tweet the same thing over again without appearing redundant; and to follow themselves to ‘seed’ a follower list.
When using social media for affiliate marketing, you should always stop and focus on your content first. Do your posts have the ability to stand on their own regardless of your affiliate link? Do they provide something of value to your audience? Do they grab attention? Using the right education and finesse, you can learn how to really rope in your social media platform audiences, and demand their attention with high quality and interesting content.

Your bio should be a very short description about who you are and what you do. Don’t try to attract everyone, rather, go after your target audience. Aside from Twitter being just a numbers game, it is also a game of attracting the RIGHT people. If you have a website you are promoting about dogs, you don’t care about people who have pet birds. So don’t make your bio about “pets”. Make it about dogs specifically (or even a specific breed of dog). It’s always better to start too narrow and broaden over time than to start too broad and have to narrow down later. You’ve got less than 1 minute for your bio to convince others to follow you, so make it good!
Everything I promote is about mass appeal and the path of least resistance to generating conversions / $$$. It is far easier to get someone fill out a short form than to get them to pull out their credit card and make a purchase. So why struggle with trying to sell this or that, when you can provide free information that users want/need and get paid well doing it.
Are we all okay with affiliate marketing on Twitter now? Twitter is supposed to be about building relationships within whatever industry you are in. Once that is broken than Twitter has no purpose for any of us. It will just become a big spam web site. I think it is ridiculous to even give people ideas on how to become a good affiliate marketer on Twitter. I know these are tips to help people become good affiliate marketers on Twitter without spamming, but you know these people are going to spam anyways. Most people do not even know what spamming is so when they are doing it they don’t realize they are doing anything wrong.
Along with that, Amazon is a complete SELLING MACHINE! What I mean by that, is they have drilled their conversion rates down to the last detail. Typically I can convert traffic I send to Amazon from my affiliate sites around 12%. The reason why it works so well is that the moment people land on Amazon, they are automatically switched into "buyer mode". Meaning, they know the only thing left for them to do is BUY. What that means, is all you have to do is get people to Amazon's site, and they literally do the selling for you.
Typically, the biggest mistake that most companies make is that when they connect, follow, or get followers, the relationship ends there. Just because you have followers or you follow others does not mean that you do not need to put in the work to develop a relationship. The fact is that you must be able to build a community that will maintain a good structure and will ensure the full potential for your business to succeed. Strong connections are often the result of your engagement with the community, so you need to participate and engage with your network. Otherwise, the people you are connected to will see you have no value and they will pay attention to other networks that are beneficial and offer them value.
