Know your product. The best content you'll see on YouTube is from someone who knows what they're talking about. If you're new to using a product, make sure you let your users know otherwise it's going to look like you don't know what you're doing. Research reviews and other content so you can see what other problems/issues users have and see if you can address them in your video.
Plan your video before you make it. Rambling is one way to make a long, over-saturated video that can cause your bounce rate to sky rocket (people clicking off the video). With a Boolean search mode, you’ll be able to customize your queries to find people who’re looking for recommendations, conducting market research or even complaining about competing products. Once you found these posts, you can offer them a solution with your affiliate link (again, be nice and natural).
Make sure you actually put yourself out there and interact with the people you are following. You don’t have to comment on every post they make (that would be a bit stalkerish), but when you see something they posted is interesting or helpful, let them know! You can even re-tweet it or give them a special mention on your Twitter feed. Just be genuine. If someone isn’t providing helpful and useful information, remove them from your list and follow someone else (remember, people will do the same to you). Only follow those who are truly helpful. If they send you a direct message or respond to a comment, reply back! Forming a relationship like this can literally turn into money later, so get out there and network with the people you are following. Don’t just give them sales pitches for your website, product, or service – that will come later. For the most part, just interact and have fun. This is connected to being relevant – but goes beyond it. I find that the more useful my Twittering is the more positive feedback I get from followers. The best feedback that I can possibly get after an affiliate product campaign is from someone who bought the product and thanks me for recommending it because they found it useful. To me this is the ultimate feedback because it means I’ve not only made a little money, but more importantly I have a reader who is happy, who remains loyal and who is perhaps even more loyal than they were before I made the recommendation. This really comes down to smart selection of products to recommend – make sure that they are the best!
People love to buy…we love to consume great content. However, we have to be warmed up before we do it. On social networks, it’s the relationships that sell, not the message. It’s really up to you, though. You can spam people and make a quick buck (maybe), or you can build credibility and build a successful business. And that means affiliate marketing also conveys more trust in your brand. When your partners are marketing you to their friends & family, it confers the trust between them to your brand as well. This is why working with influencers gives you greater social clout in your niche, which translates to higher loyalty and trust in your company. And then… more affiliate partners as your customers turn into reps!
Once you have been following people for a few weeks, check out the list of everyone you are following. If you don’t see the words “Follows You” next to their name, you are not being followed by that person. If you don’t find their Twitter feed particularly helpful or interesting, feel free to remove them from the list of people you follow so you can add others. You do need to be a bit careful about this as constantly following and un-following large groups of people can be considered spam. Amazon’s obviously a really big one. It’s an easy one that a lot of people like to use. So I would start with Amazon if you’re new to affiliate links. The other places I would check would be CJ.com, LinkShare.com, ShareASale.com, and ImpactRadius.com. They’re like the affiliate networks or the houses that house all the different brands inside. So you can find the Wal-Marts and the Targets or whatever inside those networks. So once you get approved for their service, you can just start applying to all those different ones.
Posts without value are posts that will cause your audience to lose interest and the goodwill of your audiences, rendering your efforts of using social media for affiliate marketing useless. For example, on my social media platforms I like to have 80% of my posts as entertainment or education purposes only and only 20% of my posts have anything to do with promotions.

As with all other methods of driving sales, Associates have to be sure the method is permitted by the terms of the Associates Operating Agreement and, if applicable, the Product Advertising API License Agreement, as well as the terms and conditions of the specific site on which their links are posted (for example, MySpace does not permit its users to post affiliate marketing links on their profiles).
Perhaps the first thing that you need to keep in mind to grow your business via Twitter is to connect to as many friends, customers, and people as possible. It is ideal that you follow top leaders or people and companies in your industry. By doing this you will be able to attract your target audience and also have the opportunities to engage within the Twitter community. When following people, make sure to avoid spammy techniques like using automated systems to follow other Twitter members. To connect with your audience in Twitter you want to show that you are not a bot but that you are constantly present and you participate within the community.
While you need to be careful about sharing photos under a copyright protection, you can still find many copyright free images. For example, you can go to Google Images, click on the little gear icon in the upper right corner, click on “advanced search” then only show images that are not protected by copyright. In almost every industry, you will be able to find a ton of images you can use or even edit for your own purposes.
