Another obvious flaw in many of the tweets that we saw in the example mentioned in the previous post were that they were identical to everyone else’s. We saw Joel Comm set up a system where he pre-populated tweets with a script that simply told those reading it to go download a product. Joel actually stopped by my previous post and reflected (among other things) that those who personalized their messages converted better than those who did not. I think this says a lot. A personal recommendation is going to get a much better response in terms of actual conversions and it is far less likely to hurt your relationship with your followers as the tweet will be in your voice and hopefully out of your experience with the product.
So I’d love for you guys to think about using affiliate marketing as a way of selling other people’s stuff. And if you’re going to talk about it anyway for free, you might as well use the affiliate link, which is usually the situation which I use it. But you can also make maybe a dedicated a channel about product reviews and things also. Or just consider making your own stuff that you’re going to sell as well.
By creating a favorite things page, you can direct interested parties from all of your social platforms to this page when they ask about anything you love or use. AND you can include that link in your YouTube description knowing that it can continually be updated and improved so present and future viewers of your videos will be able to see the updated version at all times.
Target's affiliate program is fairly new to the market, and only features up to 8% commission, which turns some people away but considering targets huge range of products and itst popularity as a store, it's worthwhile signing up to their affiliate program, especially if you're planning any "Target Haul" videos in the future. One of the main appeals of the target affiliate programs is it's ability to track your links. While Amazon seems to do a poor job tracking the clicks and purchases from the links you insert, Target does a great job of keeping tabs on your links for a full week, meaning that you're much more likely to earn commission for your links. They also offer some creative advertising options such as banners and widgets for creators to use in conjunction with their affiliate links.
With all of my blog posts, I have the consistently scheduled to share on social media and on Pinterest. This keeps the content in front of my audience. I use the social media scheduling tools Post Planner and Tailwind for this. Many affiliate programs also have great affiliate managers that will send out information with special promotions that you can share. If there isn’t a big sale or promotion going on, I will still try to feature certain high-converting posts on Pinterest, to my email list, etc.
When promoting your affiliate program, make sure you’re including information that potential promoters want to know. Generally, the most influential parts of your program are the product/service relevancy, affiliate program reputation , and affiliate network or tracking platform. Make sure you include that information when you promote your program.

Typically, the biggest mistake that most companies make is that when they connect, follow, or get followers, the relationship ends there. Just because you have followers or you follow others does not mean that you do not need to put in the work to develop a relationship. The fact is that you must be able to build a community that will maintain a good structure and will ensure the full potential for your business to succeed. Strong connections are often the result of your engagement with the community, so you need to participate and engage with your network. Otherwise, the people you are connected to will see you have no value and they will pay attention to other networks that are beneficial and offer them value.
