But the ability to generate custom coupon codes and the comprehensive knowledge base make 2Checkout a good option for experienced affiliates with an established user base. But if you’re just entering the affiliate field for the first time, 2Checkout might not be where you want to start.
With all of my blog posts, I have the consistently scheduled to share on social media and on Pinterest. This keeps the content in front of my audience. I use the social media scheduling tools Post Planner and Tailwind for this. It’s a small space so it should be easy to read and recognize. For individual bloggers, using a picture of yourself usually works best as it helps to make things more personable. With that said, make sure it’s cropped properly. Trying to show a picture of you with Mt. Everest in the background or a picture of you with your 12 cats in your living room isn’t going to cut it. Use the small amount of space you have available wisely.
Your bio should be a very short description about who you are and what you do. Don’t try to attract everyone, rather, go after your target audience. Aside from Twitter being just a numbers game, it is also a game of attracting the RIGHT people. If you have a website you are promoting about dogs, you don’t care about people who have pet birds. So don’t make your bio about “pets”. Make it about dogs specifically (or even a specific breed of dog). It’s always better to start too narrow and broaden over time than to start too broad and have to narrow down later. You’ve got less than 1 minute for your bio to convince others to follow you, so make it good!

Leadpages claims that its affiliate program is not exclusively for affiliate marketers, which is true, but the narrow focus of this niche means that only professionals affiliate marketers will ever be able to earn significant income from the program. Leadpages’s affiliate program does offer quite a lot of different options (webinars, videos, blog posts, free marketing courses, etc.) to send referrals to, which can lead to higher conversion rates if done correctly.

You cannot register for the Amazon affiliate program using your YouTube channel. You need to have your own website and the website needs to be informative and relevant to the products that you will promote. This is because a team from Amazon will check your website for eligibility for their affiliate program. Unless you have a good website set up, you shouldn’t apply for their affiliate program, since most of the time your application will be rejected.

The first question you need to answer is whether or not affiliate marketing is right for your product or service. There are two things you need to consider. First, have a look at whether your competitors are practicing affiliate marketing and how they’re doing it. If you see their products promoted by social media influencers and the like, it’s a good sign that affiliate marketing in your niche pays off.
That being said, LinkConnector’s platform looks and feels outdated and is rather clumsily designed. Their dashboard also makes it difficult to find “hot” products or compare conversion rates, leaving affiliates somewhat in the dark about which products to choose. Ironically, despite their low-quality website, they offer some of the best customer service in the affiliate space.
In the past, bloggers could only promote affiliate products via Pinterest indirectly by linking to a blog post that contained affiliate links. But now, if you are a blogger who has already joined affiliate programs for your favorite retailers in your niche, you can now share your affiliate links directly on Pinterest. That means that instead of creating a post to drive readers to, you can now pin and image of a product you love with your affiliate link on Pinterest.
