Typically the landing page for your affiliate program that your affiliates are referring people to is your Shopify store’s home page, however, we also give you the ability for your affiliates to link to any page of your site which could be a specific product or category page or any page of your web site. This is known as deep linking. To set this up, please follow the instructions below:
Along with that, Amazon is a complete SELLING MACHINE! What I mean by that, is they have drilled their conversion rates down to the last detail. Typically I can convert traffic I send to Amazon from my affiliate sites around 12%. The reason why it works so well is that the moment people land on Amazon, they are automatically switched into "buyer mode". Meaning, they know the only thing left for them to do is BUY. What that means, is all you have to do is get people to Amazon's site, and they literally do the selling for you.
Review: Since Refersion charges based on the quantity of affiliate sales processed in a given month, I recommend them for medium/higher ticket item stores, or stores with an average checkout of $30-$60 or higher. At that level, their fee structure becomes very attractive because you're only paying incrementally for sales, and not for traffic, whereas many other apps charge based on the number of visits regardless of where they originate from. Whereas if you're a high volume low ticket store, you might prefer paying for traffic and getting unlimited sales.
Second, it’s a good idea to create a few new personal boards that are used solely for the purpose of pinning products that are for sale (using your affiliate links of course). For example, I have created a personal board called “Gorgeous Throw Pillows and Bedding.” The description for the board is “This board is full of gorgeous throw pillows, accent pillows, decorative pillows, duvet covers, sheets and bedding. Changing your throw pillows and bedding is such an easy way to refresh any room on a budget!” I pin beautiful products to it and edit the urls of the pin to my affiliate links, using the process described above.
A great way to establish yourself within a community of content-creators, and bring more attention to the affiliate programs you're selling, is to draw attention to the efforts of others. Remember that, whoever we are, we operate on social media as part of a community, and the process of picking up followers and, we hope, sign-ups to our programs, is not a zero-sum game. You're not taking leads off the competition, you're developing new leads for yourself.
In the past, bloggers could only promote affiliate products via Pinterest indirectly by linking to a blog post that contained affiliate links. But now, if you are a blogger who has already joined affiliate programs for your favorite retailers in your niche, you can now share your affiliate links directly on Pinterest. That means that instead of creating a post to drive readers to, you can now pin and image of a product you love with your affiliate link on Pinterest.
