They need a shopify plan (first 2 weeks are free, so if they do their store within one week they could actually get started for under $50, maybe less), They need a faceboob business account, which is free, and a budget of $5 per day for like 7 days (35$) to start promoting their products. As soon as they make sales, the money is directly in their paypal account (if using paypal), or there is a small deley to get their money in their bank account if they use shopify payments for example.

And I know you’ve said in the past that you get lots of YouTube traffic for your main niche.

I was approved almost immediately, but it can take a couple of days sometimes. You probably don't need to worry about this just yet; without any video content, you have nowhere to place adverts on. If you don't want to use Amazon, check out these other affiliate networks too.

Amazon’s obviously a really big one. It’s an easy one that a lot of people like to use. So I would start with Amazon if you’re new to affiliate links. The other places I would check would be CJ.com, LinkShare.com, ShareASale.com, and ImpactRadius.com. They’re like the affiliate networks or the houses that house all the different brands inside. So you can find the Wal-Marts and the Targets or whatever inside those networks. So once you get approved for their service, you can just start applying to all those different ones.
Hi Peter, I personally have never tried promoted pins on Pinterest but it’s on my to-do list. I’ve heard mixed reviews (they made some changes back in June or July on ads that seem to favour bigger companies). I have heard however that if you promote a pin, your whole account gets a bit of a lift. I would definitely recommend giving it a go with a small dollar amount to see if it works, I think I will try too and will report back!
But that’s kind of the balance is you’ve got to balance like I’m developing an audience, but I need to make it sustainable. So sometimes it makes great business sense for you to go ahead and use an affiliate. And other times you’re like, you know what? Maybe not on this video because my main goal for this video is just to get it to rank really high.
